Rene took care of my dog Misha aka Grandma who is now 15 years young. Knowing that she was in the hands of a knowledgeable pet sitter was ease of mind. What stands out about Rene is how loving she was towards Misha. She was able to administer Misha oral meds with no issues. Misha has allergies and has to take pills and liquid cough medicine by syringe. She did it well. I highly recommend Rene for your pet sitting needs.

Rene took care of our dogs Chicken (Alaskan/Border Collie) and Charlie (Dachshund/Jack Russell) and cats Cyril and Methodius (both domestic short-hair) for a long weekend recently, and we couldn’t be happier with the service she provided. She not only kept them fed and safe, but played with and walked the dogs and spent time with all of the pets to keep them from being lonely while we were away. Rene is thorough, serious, and conscientious, and I can say without reservation that she is someone we are perfectly comfortable trusting our pets and home with. We recommend her wholeheartedly.

We knew at first meeting that Rene was the right person to care for our dogs (Chicken, a 12-year-old border collie mix and Charlie, a 5 year old dachshund mix) and cats (Cyril and Methodius, both elderly). She spent time bonding with them while we were present in a free first consultation. Chicken is a bit stand-offish and she worked to establish a trusting bond. We were away for five days. Every day, morning and night, Rene sent a report with photos, which kept us from missing our pets too much. Clearly they were being well loved. Rene took them for daily walks and kept up with their food and water, of course. She even took time to draw out our fairly anti-social cats. We returned home to happy critters! Rene’s care gave us and our pets peace of mind. We will definitely call on her again and recommend her without reservation to others.

My wife and I planned an impromptu trip out of town and we needed to make sure our dogs and cat were taken care of. I did some searching online and came across Rene. When I called her she was very professional and came over the next day for our consultation. I was very pleased when I met her and our two black labs just fell in love with her right away. Rene has great animal sense and was very flexible with the schedule. While we were gone she provided daily text’d updates and even sent pictures of our two dogs. I recommend Rene for anyone needing quality pet care while they are away. Her rates are very reasonable and it is obvious she loves her work. We will be using her again very soon.

Rene took care of my 2 kitties (Bengal & Siamese) recently, and she was amazing!! She is very conscientious about the details of what you want and the pets need. She sent daily texts and pictures of the kitties, which I really appreciated! I can tell Rene is passionate about her pet services, and she really loves and dotes on the animals she takes care of. I highly recommend her to anyone with furry little friends!!

I am so blessed to have found Rene to take care of my 3 feline children, Dasher, Princess, and Charley. Dasher is a diabetic so has to have insulin twice a day and is very picky about who takes care of him – he warned up to Rene right away! She is like the cat whisperer because no one but me has warmed up to Dasher so quickly! She played with the cats, brushed them, fed them special treats and gave them lots of love while I was out of town. This was my first experience with a pet caregiver and it will not be my last. Rene took care of my love bear kiki the kitty cat over the weekend. She was kind, gentle and absolutely loved and adored by my not so warm and fuzzy kitty. Rene is awesome and we would highly recommend her. She’s watching kiki for us again in September!!! She’s awesome and we feel like she’s part of our family : )

Rene took care of our 10 yr old cat Chef who had jut been flown down to us from my parents in NJ the week prior and she did a wonderful job! chef took to her immediately and we loved getting our daily text photos of her and Chef enjoying their time together. Chef even seemed to be somewhat disappointed when we returned home. It was great to know our little furry family member was getting such good care while we were gone and helped us enjoy our vacation that much more.

Rene took care of our two kitties, and she was very conscientious about all the details of the cats’ needs. She sent daily pictures and texts which was greatly appreciated. I felt very comfortable with her caring for our cats!

I live in an apartment and because of an unexpected illness, I had to find a pet sitter quickly who could take my dogs for their daily walks. I have two dogs – Sadie, a shy and sweet Cairn Terrier mix, and Leon, a busy and loveable long haired mini Dapple Dachshund. After just a couple of visits, Sadie, who is usually slow to warm up to people, began to wag her tail when Rene came for the daily visits. Leon shared his kisses and funny personality instantly with Rene. Rene is fantastic and is warm and caring with not only her “doggie clients” but her “human clients” as well. I cannot thank her enough for her extra care and concern for me and my babies during a difficult time. Rene is a natural with all pets and shortly after meeting her, I could tell how much she cares for all animals. She also referred me to a wonderful cat clinic and I can not thank her enough for that. This was our first time with her. She is a total pro. We got daily updates via text messages as well as pictures of our cats. She made friends with both of our cats, Herbie, Rag Doll and even with my older and grouchy Siamese boy Oscar. When we came home, Oscar looked very happy and he was purring. He was in a good mood after Rene took care of him which is priceless for me.

Rene was great! She bonded with my pup (Ike) right away, which is not easy as he’s fairly wary of strangers. She was very organized about care requirements and even came for a walk with us on the first visit to check out his regular route. My dog was well cared for, I was kept informed while we were away and we were all very happy with the service. I’d thoroughly recommend her!

Rene has been such a fantastic dog sitter! My two dogs (Cheto & Shep) love her and she loves them. I’m new to Austin, and she’s been a life-saver taking care of my dogs when I’m out of town on work. She’s very accommodating, looking after them last minute when I need her. She’s loving and caring, respecting the details of what I want and what my boys need. I wouldn’t trust just anyone with my boys, and I trust Rene 100%!

My Husabnd and I are new to Austin and were nervous at first on who to trust our animals with. Having birds and reptiles makes it hard to find someone who is willing to watch your animals. Let alone want to hold and play with them. Rene has a natural touch with all animals. Even my bird who doesn’t really like people loves to talk with Rene. She was not afraid to hold and pet our lizard, or our turtle. Many people are scared of birds not Rene she picked them right up and never skipped a beat! Use her service you will not be sorry. We recently had to find a new sitter on very short notice so asked our vet’s office – very particular about the cats under their care – for recommendations. They recommended a number of services, but Rene’ was at the top of the list and we were told “if she is available, she is who you want.” After our first experience with her, it’s obvious why. On our initial visit she asked detailed questions about the care of our two special-needs cats and bonded with them immediately. Between that appointment and our first absence she continued to ask questions to ensure the proper care would be provided. While we were gone, Rene’ sent a text message each time she came to the house with pictures and progress reports. We’re very happy to have found Rene’ – as are Emmy and Bogart – and look forward having her take care of our furry cat children whenever we’re away.

I love having Rene’ take care of my 12 year old Shih Tzu, Shelby while I am away.. I know without a doubt that she is in excellent hands. You can trust Rene’ to have your pet’s best interest as her number one goal. I recommend her completely. SD

Rene is great. I have called her twice on very short notice and she was able to work it into her schedule. My little lap dogs love her too. A month after moving to Austin, I had to go out of town a couple days for work. Not knowing anyone around Austin, I found Rene online and could not have been happier with her service. She took great care of Monkey (my corgi), texting me pictures and status updates at every visit. Because Rene is so professional, I was able to relax and focus on work while I was away. Plus, I could tell Monkey really enjoyed her company. I would definitely recommend her services to anyone!

Rene came through for us on a very short notice right before the holidays to watch my 2 yr old mix breed dog, Rafiki. Rafiki has lots of energy and I wouldn’t trust just anyone to watch her. In fact, my boyfriend and I had cancelled out many other options and when Rene came over to meet Rafiki and us, we knew it was a perfect match! She went for a walk to get to know her on the leash (which can be fun), went over every detail with us, and really made us feel confident and relaxed when we were out of town. She kept us updated with photos and messages throughout the day, and immediately contacted us if there was anything wrong. I’m so glad we found Rene, and we’ll definitely be using her services again. I highly recommend her; she’s thorough, professional, trust-worthy, and just really has a special gift for animals.

I was going away for 10 days and needed someone to take care of my two four legged children. I was nervous about letting a ‘stranger’ take care of them. Within the first five min of meeting Rene I was put to ease. My children LOVED her! They only love me and my boyfriend. She sent so many pictures and text updates about them I felt VERY comfortable with her being there with them playing with them making sure they were eating and well. I am so thankful that I have Rene to help out with my girls (Phoebe and Maggie.) I knew that my younger dog would take to someone else very well but was a bit worried about my old girl who is 14 years young. She normally sticks to me like velcro and could care less about others but she loves Rene!!! On Rene’s first visit Phoebe ( my old girl) began showing off her soccer skills, I was happily shocked b/c she only does this when my self or someone who she is favorable towards is around. I also love that Rene sends me photos and txt updates about my pups with every daily visit! Elisha

Rene has been a blessing to us and our creature family. We have 5 parrots, 2 cockatiels, 2 dogs & 2 cats. Rene was referred by another pet sitter over the holidays. We were all set to visit my husband’s nana across the country, at the very last minute, our family pet-sitter fell through. Rene fit us into her schedule and quickly won the hearts of our little dogs. One dog has hip/joint issues the other has Cushings disease- both are on meds, so we were leaving Rene with a handful of issues, in addition to a boatful of creatures. She took the pups for walks, sent pics several times and texts with info on their well being each day. It was such a relief – she saved our holiday. Rene is genuinely concerned about the health and comfort of all the kids. She has given us great advice on healthy snacks (frozen bananas – who knew!), potty issues &exercise. Rene is working with our family to come by the house twice a week to play/poop scoop. We definitely recommend her & so do the kids!

I was panicked when my pet sitter of 15 years moved away. I found Rene’ on the Pet Sitting Austin website and was impressed with her work with feral and stray animals. I had taken in a stray, semi-feral male cat that had been living under our deck. After I took him to Emancipet and had him neutered and gave him all his shots, etc. we were gradually working to get him domesticated. A week before we were going to Port A for a 4 day weekend we had been keeping him in the house at night for safety. I have a female cat who is very jealous and wasn’t real sure how the two cats would cope being locked in the house together for 4 days. Rene’ was extremely patient and accommodating and I really appreciated her texting me, with pictures, after each visit. It helped my anxiety level greatly. Since moving to Austin 4 years ago, I have been fortunate enough to have Rene looking after my dog, Bear. My job keeps me working long hours and those days that I knew I wasn’t going to be able to let Bear out, Rene was there to help. I knew he would be taken care of like I take care of him. Rene doesn’t just walk your dog, she really takes care of them…plays with them, makes sure they have enough food/water to get them through the rest of the day, gives Bear medicine if needed, etc. And she always leaves a note to update me on Bear so when I get home I don’t have to wonder if he went potty, got his medicine, ate… I would recommend Rene for any pet sitting needs, as she is such an animal lover and thoroughly looks after all animals. (Even keeping a wild baby bird safe and cared for overnight until we could get it to the right place the next day!) Rene also cares for plants when needed, she has probably saved a few of mine!

Buster has been my best buddy for almost 8 years now and I would not trust too many people to look after him until meeting Rene. She has sat for Buster many a time over the 2 years I have known her and she treats him like her own, as she does every animal that I have known her to watch. She understands that our pets have their own personalities and demeanor and is very in tune and caters to those different traits. I never have to worry about a thing with Buster because Rene always lets me know exactly what she does with him ( food, water, play, walks, etc…) and any other updates that I would need to know. She always goes above and beyond what I would expect and I would recommend Rene’s services to anyone and everyone!
